Splashtastic Guide to Phoenix Pool Parties

When it gets to be over 100 degrees in Phoenix options for social outings are limited — especially if you want to be outdoors. Patio dining? Forget about it. Hiking? Not if you want to make it to September alive. However, one of the Valley’s best attributes is its nearly endless pool options. Not only does nearly every home, apartment complex and resort have a pool, there are also plenty of pool parties ranging from laidback fun to raging concert. Here’s our guide to the most popular poolside events to help you prepare for the long, hot summer.

Release Pool Parties at Talking Stick Resort

If you’re looking to party alongside (well, in the presence of) A-list DJs, these are the pool parties for you. This summer’s lineup includes Dillon Francis, Galantis and Jauz, with plenty more to be announced as the summer continues. Not only is the music lineup fantastic, these pool parties truly are parties similar to an outdoor, daytime nightclub with no shortage of great drinks and a little debauchery. Plus, for the full VIP experience you can rent a cabana for the day.

W Scottsdale

While W Scottsdale doesn’t quite pull out all the stops entertainment-wise, that doesn’t make it any less of a place to see and be seen, plus you might still encounter a few rising star DJs during a holiday weekend. The beautiful rooftop pool looks out over Scottsdale Road and is second to none when it comes to a fun but relaxed atmosphere. It’s also right next to the Scottsdale’s top clubs, bars and restaurants so it’s easy to party all day without even having to call an Uber between venues.

Soundwave at Maya Day + Nightclub

Maya’s pool parties are the place to be for a daytime party in Old Town Scottsdale, thanks to its great music lineup, close proximity to other bars (it even connects to The District!) and great drinks, like the Maya fishbowl complete with a rubber duck. It’s a smaller venue though, so make sure to book a table during busy weekends if you prefer to have some extra personal space.

OH Pool + Hot Tub at Hotel Valley Ho

If you’re looking for a little more pool than party Hotel Valley Ho’s OH pool is a great place to enjoy all the sun and fun of the other pool parties with a little less intensity — not to say there’s any shortage of great cocktails. The expansive pool offers plenty of places to lounge, grab a bite to eat and enjoy live music during the weekends. However, it does fill up so make sure to book a cabana or daybed if you’re planning to attend during a holiday weekend.
