Phoenix Poetry Slam
This event is a series of poetic events held in Phoenix, Arizona in which poets read or perform their work in front of a live audience, an audience in which five randomly selected people are given a scorecard and rank the performances. This form of open mic creates a unique dialogue platform between audience members and writers, giving new poets a platform to hone their craft and public speaking abilities, while at the same time elevating a community’s comprehension of poetry. 7-11 p.m. $10+.
