Phoenix Poetry Slam
This event is a series of poetic events held in Phoenix, Arizona in which poets read or perform their work in front of a live audience, an audience in which five randomly selected people are given a scorecard and rank the performances. This form of open mic creates a unique dialogue platform between audience members and writers, giving new poets a platform to hone their craft and public speaking abilities, while at the same time elevating a community’s comprehension of poetry. 7-11 p.m. $10+. The Rocky Horror Show

Midland Concert
Hailing from Dripping Springs, TX lead vocalist Mark Wystrach fronts Midland’s rich sound that is rounded out with lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy.
