Old Congress Pioneer Cemetery

Located near the Congress Gold Mine, this historic burial site, dating back to the mid 1880s, is a small but captivating piece of Arizona history. A palpable piece of the Old West lies at your feet as you explore a variety of grave markers from very simple mementos to ornate sculptures, with every headstone suggesting a story about a brutal life lived with much more hardship than ours.
